Last updated: October 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Mason Jar Crafts (“the site”, “we”) collects when you visit, how it is used and the choices you have. The site is an informational website about decorative mason jar projects. You can read every guide without creating an account or giving us any personal information.
Information you give us
Contact form. When you send a message through the Contact page, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you enter. We use this information only to read and respond to your message. The message is delivered by email, and the website itself does not keep a copy of sent messages. Please do not include sensitive personal information in the form.
The site does not offer user accounts, newsletters or a comment section, and we do not sell products.
Information collected automatically
Server logs. Like most websites, the server that hosts the site may record technical information for each request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time. This information is used to keep the site secure and working, and to diagnose technical problems.
Contact form protection. To limit automated abuse, the contact form keeps a short-lived count of submissions linked to a scrambled (hashed) form of the sender’s IP address. The count expires after about an hour.
Cookies. The site uses very few cookies. They are described in our Cookie Policy.
How we use information
- To reply to messages sent through the contact form.
- To operate, protect and maintain the site.
- To diagnose technical problems using server logs.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.
Third-party services
The site links to a small number of external websites, such as encyclopedia articles that give background on a material or technique. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Analytics and advertising. At the date of this policy, the site does not use third-party analytics and does not show third-party advertising. The page layout has places reserved for advertising, but they are switched off and empty. If analytics or advertising services are added in the future, those providers may use cookies or similar technologies to measure visits or to show ads, and this policy and the Cookie Policy will be updated to name the providers and explain your choices before those services are used.
How long we keep information
Messages sent through the contact form are kept only for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Server logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted or anonymized according to the hosting provider’s retention settings.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or to object to certain uses. To make a request, contact us through the Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, as described in the Cookie Policy.
Children’s privacy
The site publishes craft guides that families may use together, but it is intended to be used by adults or under adult supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact form, please let us know and we will delete it.
